Job summary

ScionxBio is seeking a visionary Vice President of Platform to lead its upstream RNA platform, reporting to the CEO and guiding AI-driven sequence design, formulation, and scalable delivery systems. You will steer long-range scientific strategy, build a multidisciplinary team, and translate validated modalities into durable medicines.

You will shape the platform direction, protect intellectual property, and partner with Discovery to transition optimized candidates into clinical development,

Qualifications

• PhD in a relevant discipline with senior industry experience in RNA/nucleic-acid therapeutics.
• Proven track record building and leading platform/tech functions across computation, biology and engineering.
• Hands-on experience applying AI/ML to molecular design with understanding of experimental science.
• Deep knowledge of delivery technologies, esp. LNP formulation for nucleic acids.
• Strong leadership, communication and collaboration across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of proprietary AI/ML models and computational biology pipelines for sequence design and codon optimisation.
• Spearhead evolution of xRNA modalities and advanced chemistries.
• Oversee formulation engineering for lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) delivery.
• Ensure robust, reproducible platform discoveries with scalable manufacturing potential.
• Mentor a multidisciplinary group of data scientists, biologists and engineers.
• Identify and protect novel sequence motifs and IP around AI design.
• Bridge Platform and Discovery teams to transition optimised candidates toward the clinic.
