Job summary

Flatiron Health, Inc. is seeking a Senior Director of Engineering, Technical Platform to lead the global Developer Platform and AI infrastructure, serving hundreds of engineers across four pillars.

You will partner with Product, Security, and IT to deliver scalable, secure tooling and robust data platforms. You bring 10+ years of engineering leadership, cloud infrastructure expertise, and a product-minded approach to platform strategy.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Experience leading platform engineering across distributed teams.
• Strong depth in large-scale data processing and cloud services.
• Experience operationalising AI/ML developer workflows or LLM infrastructure.
• Healthcare data security knowledge (HIPAA, GDPR) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global Developer Platform and AI infrastructure.
• Treat the Platform as a Product with paved paths and self-service tooling.
• Define platform strategy, roadmaps, and metrics with Product partners.
• Govern AI cost and security governance for production workloads.
• Build and grow a high-performing engineering leadership tier.
• Collaborate with IT operations and security for resilience.
