Middlemore are currently seeking a Chief of Staff to join our financial services client based in London. This position requires a highly organised and strategic professional who can act as a trusted advisor, ensuring seamless communication and coordination across all groups.

PLEASE NOTE - ONLY CANDIDATES FROM A MANAGEMENT CONSULTING BACKGROUND WILL BE CONSIDERED

Role: Chief of Staff

Location: London (5 days a week in the office)

Start Date: ASAP

Travel: Monthly US travel (3–4 days per trip)

The Chief of Staff will be working across three main responsibility areas:

  1. Strategic support to the Executive team
  2. Project management and strategic planning
  3. Communications and coordination

The role demands a dynamic individual capable of managing complex tasks in a fast-paced, international environment.

About the Role

We are seeking a high-calibre Chief of Staff to support our Board and executive team in a flexible and varied role. This is an opportunity for a driven individual with a management consulting background to work at the heart of a global business, acting as a bridge across teams and projects.

Key Deliverables & Targets
  • Strategy & Projects: Lead and support strategic projects, including market research, target operating model design, and special initiatives.
  • Programme Management: Coordinate key business cadences and the yearly investor conference, including a high-impact three-month project.
  • Business Operations: Handle tasks from leadership recruitment to HR departures and corporate affairs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with senior leaders to anticipate challenges and pilot initiatives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build trust with stakeholders and advise the Board confidently.
  • Output: Provide high-quality strategic insights and narratives from diverse sources.
Skills & Experience
  • Background: 4–5 years in big 4 management consulting
  • Expertise: Programme management, strategy, governance, operations, business enablement
  • No ego: Willing to handle any task across functions
  • Discretion: Maintain confidentiality
  • Strong Voice: Contribute thoughtfully within a high-performing team
  • Ambition: Aspiring to executive roles within 2 years
