Job summary

Exam Papers Plus is seeking a Head of Content to own quality, consistency and delivery across multiple content programmes. You will build the editorial operation, freelance network and production system to run several programmes in parallel without compromising standards.

You will lead a small in‑house team, manage the author network, and design AI-assisted workflows to streamline drafting, tagging and quality checks. This role sits on the leadership team and reports to the CEO.

Qualifications

• Experience leading content, editorial or curriculum in an education business, assessment organisation, awarding body or educational publisher.
• Ability to run several unrelated content projects at once and deliver them on time.
• Fluency with project management tools (Linear, ClickUp, Outline) and exceptional organisation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and run every programme in Linear with clear gates and visibility across the business.
• Own editorial standard and review process to ensure all questions meet spec and quality.
• Maintain style guides, question definitions, skill taxonomy and difficulty descriptors.
• Strengthen freelance relationships and build a subject network; manage briefs, rates, contracts and performance.
• Design and maintain AI-assisted production workflows (Claude, n8n) for drafting, tagging and quality checks.
• Size and cost new programmes before committing, and communicate what is achievable within timeframes.
• Protect the core 11+ business while developing new programmes and ensure originality and IP respect.
