UK Editorial & Content Strategy Lead

Job summary

EC-Council in London is seeking a market-facing editorial leader to define our UK content strategy, oversee events, reports, interviews and thought leadership. This is an editorial and content leadership role, not a commercial one, with significant autonomy from day one.

You will work with leaders, marketing and design to deliver high-quality content that strengthens our brand voice and engages the London market and beyond, including regional expansion into AI and emerging technology risk.

Qualifications

• A strong editorial, journalism or content background, ideally in or close to the insurance market.
• An existing network in the London insurance market and good feel for its dynamics.
• A nose for emerging, underreported stories and trends to boost brand visibility.
• A self-starter: independent, organized and trustworthy, able to own a plan and deliver.
• Comfortable using AI tools as part of daily content work.
• Familiarity with cyber insurance or cyber/technology risk is a plus.
• Experience producing multi-format content across events, reports, social and podcasts.
• Experience building relationships with vendors and partners.

Responsibilities

• Define editorial strategy and a six-to-twelve month content plan.
• Oversee content initiatives including online events, industry reports, interviews and thought leadership.
• Make editorial decisions and represent the brand externally, in collaboration with leadership.
• Plan and run webinars, masterclasses and panel discussions with an educational focus.
• Source speakers and build lasting relationships across the network.
• Launch and edit a multi-format online magazine on technology risk.
• Repurpose content for write-ups, social carousels and podcasts to maximize reach.
• Support CEO's industry-leader podcast with topic shaping and sessions.
