Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of HR Business Partnering to lead senior-level HR guidance across clinical, operational and corporate teams. The role oversees complex employee-relations and workforce matters, with a remit spanning the staff survey, People Plan and strategic HR initiatives.

The post is senior, hybrid, and requires CIPD chartered status, extensive HR leadership experience in a large organisation, and strong analytical capabilities to inform

Qualifications

• Master's level education or equivalent demonstrable knowledge and experience.
• Chartered membership of the CIPD.
• Postgraduate-level specialist HR knowledge gained through study or equivalent advanced training and substantial relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Advise clinical, operational and corporate teams to support the delivery of patient care.
• Provide pragmatic, high-quality HR advice on TUPE, employee relations, organisational change, job evaluation and policy.
• Advise subsidiary companies and hosted services, mainly under NHS terms and conditions, and UHS colleagues.
• Adapt advice to internal and external customers, taking commercial requirements into account.
• Lead key projects with the HRBP team and people directorate, including the staff survey and the use of AI and technology in workflows.
• Provide data and insight to help deliver the UHS People Plan.
• Influence senior leaders and contribute to wider organisational goals and objectives.
