Job summary

Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Head of Human Resources to lead the people service, advising directors on workforce strategy and managing employee relations, organisational change and sickness absence. You will oversee a team, partner with staff-side representatives, and drive workforce transformation across Cornwall, with a focus on health, wellbeing and a restorative culture.

A master’s level qualification, Chartered CIPD membership and an accredited mediation

Qualifications

• Master's level qualification or equivalent knowledge
• Chartered CIPD membership at minimum
• Accredited qualification in mediation and CPD evidence

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of HR professionals covering employee relations, organisational change, workforce transformation, performance management and sickness absence and complex casework
• Provide trusted advice and strategic workforce leadership to directors, senior leaders and managers
• Keep the HR service responsive, customer-focused and solutions-driven
• Develop new approaches to HR delivery, embrace technology and improve services continuously
• Work with senior leaders, staff-side representatives and partners across the system
• Negotiate and resolve complex workforce challenges to support organisational priorities
• Promote organisational health, wellbeing and a restorative just culture
• Link workforce experience to community wellbeing and quality of care
