The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong balance of strategic vision and hands-on execution, with a proven track record in a growth-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that drive brand-focused, sustainable long-term growth.
- Serve as a strategic adviser to the CEO and executive leadership, offering insight and recommendations on long-term financial and business planning.
- Make high-quality contributions to the strategic planning process and actively participate in quarterly Board meetings.
- Provide strategic leadership to the finance function across all areas of financial management, including treasury, financial planning and analysis, and financial control.
- Lead the preparation and management of financial planning, budgeting, and business planning processes.
- Drive the development of efficient budget proposals, ensure timely access to financial data, and uphold contract compliance.
- Evaluate revenue and margin enhancement opportunities, analyse internal operations, and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and process improvements.
- Lead the redesign and implementation of management reporting tools that enhance visibility into product, channel, and operational cost performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure financial discipline across departments and alignment with corporate goals.
- Ensure finance effectively supports business objectives and integrates operational insights into financial forecasting and reporting processes.
- Review and approve business plans, budgets, and resource allocations to support the achievement of the company’s financial and strategic targets.
- Actively monitor the business’s financial performance against agreed KPIs, holding the executive team accountable for delivery.
- Oversee enterprise risk management, with a focus on liquidity, capital structure, credit, and multi-currency foreign exchange risks.
- Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, and compliance with all relevant regulatory, audit, and reporting requirements.
- Foster and sustain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Person Specification
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, MBA or equivalent.
- Proven experience as CFO in a growth-oriented company undergoing transformation.
- Strong understanding of international finance and tax structures, with hands-on experience operating across the UK, US, and Asia-Pacific regions.
- Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting, with a track record of providing strategic support in business planning and delivering Board-level financial reporting.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong decision-making skills in relation to budgeting and resource allocation.
- Proven ability to lead high-performing teams and drive organisational change.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
