Our client is a PE-backed, multi-site healthcare provider with impressive growth plans, including a nationwide roll-out and potential M&A opportunities. They are seeking an ambitious and dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their highly driven leadership team, based in London. The CFO will have full responsibility for the finance function, financial planning strategies, and will play a critical role in all investment and funding activities. Reporting to the CEO, the CFO will be highly strategic, responsible for communication with the Board, and providing high-quality forecasts, management information, and data to enable confident business-critical decisions. The CFO will oversee all finance-related activities, including cash flow management and financial controls. This is a hands-on role requiring leadership by example.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with senior management, founders, and investors to monitor and drive business growth and performance.
  2. Providing strategic support in creating and executing growth strategies, with expert advice on opportunities and execution.
  3. Overseeing financial operations such as budgeting, forecasting, reporting, cash flow, and risk management.
  4. Developing and maintaining robust financial controls and processes for accurate reporting.
  5. Monitoring financial performance, identifying improvement areas, and recommending corrective actions.
  6. Providing timely financial information to stakeholders, investors, and the Board.
  7. Managing the annual audit process and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  8. Building and leading a high-performing finance team through guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
  9. Fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)

Required Skills

  • Proven track record as a CFO, preferably in private equity-backed environments.
  • Experience in multi-site healthcare or consumer-focused businesses.
  • Understanding of value creation strategies.
  • M&A experience is advantageous.
  • Experience delivering shareholder value through successful exits (PE or Trade).
  • Strong financial acumen, principles, reporting, and analysis expertise.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration abilities.
  • Forward-looking, commercial mindset focused on shareholder value.
  • Ability to drive change, improve processes, and implement best practices.
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills, results-oriented approach.
