Job description

GLF Schools is at a transformative juncture. With a clear vision to deliver outstanding education and positive life‑chances for every child, we now seek a dynamic, values‑driven individual to serve as CEO. This is a rare opportunity to lead a forward‑thinking multi‑academy trust, deepen its impact and shape an inclusive, high‑performing organisation.

As CEO you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of GLF Schools in partnership with the Board, embedding a culture of excellence, innovation and collaboration, and ensuring organisational sustainability and growth. You will be a compelling ambassador for the Trust, inspiring staff, pupils, parents and wider stakeholders, and forging strong partnerships with the wider education community, local authorities and other sector bodies.

GLF Schools is a thriving multi‑academy trust with a commitment to creating safe, inclusive and high‑quality learning environments. We believe that exceptional education transforms lives and that every young person deserves the opportunity to exceed their aspirations. We are proud of our community‑centred ethos and our drive to advance educational excellence across all of our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of a bold strategic vision for the Trust, aligned with its core values and long‑term ambitions.
  • Ensure educational excellence and continuous improvement across all schools in the trust, with a sharp focus on pupil outcomes, wellbeing and inclusion.
  • Foster a culture of professional development, empowerment and shared leadership, attracting, retaining and developing outstanding leaders and staff.
  • Act as the principal spokesperson and ambassador for the Trust, cultivating strong relationships with local stakeholders, funders, regulators and the education ecosystem.
  • Ensure robust governance, financial health and operational excellence, supporting the Board in fulfilling its responsibilities and managing risk effectively.
  • Promote innovation, collaboration and best practice within and beyond the Trust, ensuring that GLF Schools remains at the forefront of educational thinking and service delivery.
You will bring
  • Significant experience at senior leadership or executive level in education, ideally within a multi‑academy trust or similarly complex organisation.
  • Strategic insight, commercial acumen and sound judgement, with the ability to translate vision into operational reality.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; you build credibility quickly, lead by example, and are a persuasive advocate for staff, pupils and the community.
  • A commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion and social justice, and the ability to embed these principles into everything the Trust does.
  • Resilience, adaptability and a collaborative mindset: able to thrive in a dynamic, challenging environment and inspire others to do the same.
