Job summary

vgroup is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for the cruise vessel ULTRAMARINE. The role covers all technical operations, maintenance of propulsion, electrical and mechanical systems, and coordination with ship departments to ensure safe navigation. Excellent English communication and leadership are essential for this demanding position.

Required STCW95, CoC A-III/2, and extensive cruise-ship engineering experience; Alaska experience is a plus. AMOS and MS Office proficiency preferred.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience as a Chief Engineer on cruise vessels.
  • Strong ability to detect and identify machinery faults.
  • Physically and medically fit with high integrity.
  • Fluent in English; safety language on board.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee technical operations and equipment across engineering, electrical and mechanical divisions.
  • Ensure all systems comply with policies and international standards for safe navigation.
  • Coordinate with technical parties and other ship departments.
  • Lead safety drills and enforce health, safety and pollution regulations.
  • Provide training and supervision on equipment use.
