Job summary

Wilde, part of Staycity Group, is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance team across our London-area aparthotels. You will ensure all rooms and public areas remain guest-ready, manage budgets, and drive safety and environmental initiatives.

Applicants should have 4+ years in a supervisory maintenance role, with strong knowledge of country and property-specific regulations. A hands-on leader, you will collaborate with housekeeping and operations to maximise occupancy and guest

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in a managerial or supervisory role within maintenance, safety and health regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead maintenance department resources and schedule work to optimise team output.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to keep rooms and public areas in top condition.
  • Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety compliance and timely checks.
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly quality and safety inspections of facilities.
  • Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance and promote environmental safety measures.
  • Manage stocks and purchasing for maintenance equipment and supplies.
  • Assist General Manager in budgeting for maintenance and capital projects.
  • Approve completed work and ensure costs align with budgets.
  • Ensure safety procedures, building systems, and alarms are functioning properly.
  • Report hazards and resolve issues in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Support Staycity sustainability programs and act as Brand Ambassador for Wilde.

Qualifications
  • Previous relevant experience and up to date knowledge of country/property specific maintenance, safety, and health regulations in a similar environment or property/hotel (4+ years minimum experience in a managerial or supervisory position is required)
Responsibilities
  • Manage all maintenance department resources and team members and optimise the team’s work by drawing up and coordinating schedules according to need.
  • Collaborate closely with our Housekeeping team to ensure all rooms are in presentable working order at all times to ensure maximum guest occupancy and experience.
  • Support planned maintenance checks and take a hands‑on approach to reactive maintenance.
  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly quality and safety checks as well as ensuring everything is in working order in the apartments and public areas.
  • Supervise and participate in preventive and curative maintenance of the premises and equipment while promoting and contributing to setting up internal measures for the protection of the environment.
  • Manage stocks and purchasing of equipment and supplies for the department.
  • Assist the General Manager in drawing up budgets for maintenance and capital investment.
  • Approve work being performed and ensure that costs are reasonable and in line with budgets.
  • Ensure compliance with current safety procedures, and control the condition of the building, technical equipment and all safety and alarm systems in the property.
  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately.
  • Analyse and assist with complaints where possible and take action and resolve them in conjunction with the General Manager.
  • As part of our Operations team, demonstrate a commitment to operating in accordance with the environmental and social sustainability criteria set by Staycity Group and external programmes such as Green Key.
