Job summary

Wilde is seeking a Shift Engineer to support planned and reactive maintenance across our busy aparthotels in the heart of Europe. You will work with the Chief Engineer to deliver maintenance checks, ensure safety across apartments and public areas, and help keep equipment in top condition.

Qualifications

  • Previous relevant experience and knowledge of country/property maintenance, safety, and health regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Chief Engineer on planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly safety checks across apartments and public areas.
  • Carry out preventive and curative maintenance and promote environmental measures.
  • Assist with stock, equipment and supply management for the department.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and monitor building systems.
  • Report and mitigate hazards promptly.
  • Assist with customer and staff complaints with the Chief Engineer and GM.
  • Support Staycity sustainability criteria and Green Key programs.
  • Be the brand ambassador for Wilde with enthusiasm and professionalism.

We would love you to have
  • Previous relevant experience and some knowledge of country/property specific maintenance, safety, and health regulations in a similar environment or property/hotel is preferred but not essential

What you can do for us
  • Work with our Chief Engineer in supporting planned maintenance checks and take a hands-on approach to reactive maintenance.

  • Deliver daily, weekly and monthly safety checks as well as ensuring everything is in working order in the apartments and public areas,

  • Take part in preventive and curative maintenance of the premises and equipment while promoting and contributing to setting up internal measures for the protection of the environment

  • Assist with managing stocks, equipment and supplies for the department

  • Ensure compliance with current safety procedures, and control the condition of the building, technical equipment and all safety and alarm systems in the property

  • Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and reduced immediately

  • Assist with complaints where possible and resolve them in conjunction with the Chief Engineer and General Manager

  • As part of our Operations team, demonstrate a commitment to operating in accordance with the environmental and social sustainability criteria set by Staycity Group and external programmes such as Green Key
