Job summary

Mphasis UK Ltd is seeking a senior regulatory executive to lead the Compliance Oversight function and MLRO responsibilities. The role provides independent assurance over FCA compliance across the business, including Consumer Duty and risk-based monitoring programmes.

You will report to the MD/Board, influence senior management, and drive effective governance in a regulated environment. The successful candidate will have extensive FCA-regulated experience, SMF16/17 qualifications or eligibility,

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an FCA-regulated financial services environment.
• Strong knowledge of the FCA Handbook including CONC, SYSC, DISP, Consumer Duty and SM&CR.
• Experience developing, implementing or monitoring compliance frameworks, policies and controls.
• Experience in compliance monitoring, regulatory advice and risk assessments.
• Good understanding of AML, sanctions, customer due diligence and financial crime requirements.
• Experience preparing management information and presenting compliance matters to senior management.
• Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight of regulatory compliance and financial crime frameworks.
• Act as SMF16 (Compliance Oversight) and SMF17 (MLRO) subject to FCA approval.
• Develop, implement and maintain a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme.
• Oversee AML, CTF, sanctions and financial crime arrangements incl. due diligence and SARs.
• Monitor regulatory developments and implement changes across the business.
• Report material compliance and financial crime risks to the Board and authorities.
• Promote a culture of compliance, integrity and ethical conduct.
