Job summary

Hafod Housing Association Limited in Wales is seeking a Chief Care Officer to shape the future of its care services. You will provide strategic vision, lead commercial and governance efforts, and work closely with the CEO and Board to ensure high-quality, sustainable, person-centred care.

This role travels across sites and requires strong leadership to turn ambition into measurable change. Maintaining relationships with commissioners, regulators and partners, you will help Hafod influence care

Qualifications

• Substantial senior leadership experience within a regulated care environment.
• Track record in strategy development and implementation across a diverse portfolio.
• Demonstrable commercial and financial leadership with risk management.
• Understanding of nurse-led clinical services, governance and quality.
• Experience advising Boards and senior stakeholders with sound judgement.
• Knowledge of Welsh social care regulation, commissioning and policy.
• Experience leading major change and partnership development.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of Hafod’s long term care strategy.
• Ensure financial performance and sustainable investment in care services.
• Guide decisions on investment, service development and portfolio direction.
• Provide executive governance oversight and quality assurance.
• Strengthen leadership across care teams and foster empowerment.
• Build relationships with commissioners, regulators and partners.
• Collaborate as a member of Hafod’s Executive team.
