Job summary

Active Care Group in Oxford is seeking a Service Director who will own the service, provide strategic and operational leadership, and drive high standards of care, quality and performance. You will lead governance, people development and business growth, ensuring safe, compliant care while delivering strong financial performance.

This role requires ambition, energy and the ability to translate objectives into operational plans that deliver measurable results.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent management/clinical qualification.
• Significant operational and business leadership in health and social care.
• Experience leading teams and performance development.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
• Budget management and delivering financial performance.
• Stakeholder relationship building with commissioners and funders.
• Risk management in complex settings.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Hold overall accountability for service activity including quality, governance, people management, recruitment, regulated activity, business development and budget performance.
• Translate strategic objectives into operational plans and measurable outcomes.
• Use performance data and KPIs to monitor and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure the service operates ethically and in line with policies and service models.
