Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across Chesterfield's partnership secondary schools. Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term assignments, with flexible schedules to suit availability.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work, manage behaviour and help students stay on track with learning goals, across a variety of year groups and subjects.

Qualifications

Experience working with children or young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong classroom management and behaviour-management skills.
Ability to follow lesson plans and school instructions.
Reliability, flexibility and a professional attitude.
A genuine desire to support young people.

Responsibilities

Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared work.
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Ensuring students complete the work set by their teacher.
Supporting and encouraging students with their learning.
Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns.
Working across a variety of secondary schools and year groups.

Cover Supervisors Wanted!

Chesterfield - Day-to-Day, Short-Term & Long-Term Assignments

Are you ready to make a difference without having to plan the lesson?

We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to join our team and work across our fantastic partnership secondary schools in Chesterfield

Whether you're looking for the flexibility of day-to-day supply, want to get stuck into a short-term assignment, or are searching for a long-term opportunity, we've got something for you!

What will you be doing?

As a Cover Supervisor, you'll be the friendly face at the front of the classroom, helping keep students engaged and learning when their usual teacher is unavailable.

Your day could include:

Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared work
Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment
Ensuring students complete the work set by their teacher
Supporting and encouraging students with their learning
Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns
Working across a variety of secondary schools and year groups
Building positive relationships with students and school staff
Adapting to different classrooms, subjects and school environments
