Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work across Chesterfield's partnership secondary schools. Roles include day-to-day supply, short-term and long-term assignments, with flexible schedules to suit availability.

You will supervise classes, deliver pre-prepared work, manage behaviour and help students stay on track with learning goals, across a variety of year groups and subjects.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour-management skills.
• Ability to follow lesson plans and school instructions.
• Reliability, flexibility and a professional attitude.
• A genuine desire to support young people.

Responsibilities

• Supervising classes and delivering pre-prepared work.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Ensuring students complete the work set by their teacher.
• Supporting and encouraging students with their learning.
• Monitoring student progress and reporting any concerns.
• Working across a variety of secondary schools and year groups.
• Building positive relationships with students and school staff.
• Adapting to different classrooms, subjects and school environments.
