Matchtech is seeking a Chemometrics Technician for a state-of-the-art R&D facility near Southampton. The role focuses on applying chemometric methods to support analytical chemistry and data-driven projects within a Centre of Excellence.

You will analyse data from GC/LC and MS techniques, develop new methods, and communicate insights to stakeholders. A strong MSc/PhD in a chemistry-related field and proficiency in Python/MATLAB/R are preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong background in chemometrics and analytical chemistry.
• Experience with data analysis and statistical methods.
• Experience with chromatographic or spectrometric data is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Apply chemometric techniques to support chemical and sensory projects.
• Process and analyse data from analytical chemistry techniques ensuring quality and validity.
• Provide chemometrics expertise to support robust results.
• Assist development of new analytical methods and capabilities.
• Interpret complex data and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in the laboratory and analytical functions.
