Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a Chemistry Teacher for a secondary school in Kings Langley to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3–5, with potential KS5. This is a full-time role starting in September, within a supportive school that values professional growth and safeguarding.

Ideal candidates hold a Chemistry degree with QTS or relevant secondary teaching experience, plus strong classroom management and excellent communication skills to inspire students to reach their potential.

Responsibilities

• Encourage curiosity and critical thinking in science.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Science department.

Supply Desk is currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join a successful secondary school in the Kings Langley area. Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across Key Stages 3–5, adapting learning to meet the needs of all students.
• Plan and prepare creative lessons and practical activities in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback to encourage achievement.
• Maintain a safe and organised laboratory environment, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
• Encourage curiosity, critical thinking and enthusiasm for scientific learning.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to the continued development of the Science department.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have
