Job summary

Teach Now Limited is seeking a Chemistry Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons across KS3/KS4 and GCSE, with potential A-level duties where suitable. You will collaborate with science staff, plan safe practicals, assess progress, and provide targeted support to pupils while promoting inclusive education and safeguarding.

The role is full-time and long-term, based in Barnet, London, with a start date of 8 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree in Chemistry or closely related discipline.
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Experience teaching secondary science in a UK school.
• Experience delivering GCSE Chemistry.
• Sound understanding of assessment and examination requirements.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach high-quality Chemistry lessons.
• Deliver the science curriculum across KS3 and KS4.

Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per annum – M1 to UPS3

About You

Applicants should have:

• Experience delivering GCSE Chemistry
• Excellent classroom and behaviour-management skills
• A sound understanding of assessment and examination requirements
• A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
• The right to work in the UKAn Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
• Two satisfactory professional references
• A-level teaching experience would be particularly welcome but is not essential for every applicant.
