Job summary

Supply Desk is seeking a Chemistry Teacher for a secondary school in Kings Langley to deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages 3–5, with potential KS5. This is a full-time role starting in September, within a supportive school that values professional growth and safeguarding.

Ideal candidates hold a Chemistry degree with QTS or relevant secondary teaching experience, plus strong classroom management and excellent communication skills to inspire students to reach their potential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related scientific subject.
• QTS or relevant secondary teaching experience.
• Strong subject knowledge and ability to teach Chemistry to secondary students.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Commitment to inspiring and motivating young people to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Chemistry lessons across KS3–KS5 (potential KS5).
• Plan and prepare creative lessons and practical activities.
• Monitor and assess student progress with clear feedback.
• Maintain a safe, well-equipped laboratory following health and safety procedures.
• Encourage curiosity and critical thinking in science.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the Science department.
