Job summary

Academics is seeking a qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a secondary school in Stone to deliver KS3 and KS4 science. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, with a focus on Chemistry within the science curriculum, and create a positive learning environment.

You will assess student progress, prepare for GCSEs, differentiate to meet needs, and work with colleagues, parents and carers while maintaining safeguarding and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Qualified Chemistry teacher for KS3/KS4 in a secondary school.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Teaching Chemistry as part of the secondary Science curriculum
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Assessing, monitoring and reporting on student progress
• Preparing students for GCSE Combined Science and Separate Science exams where applicable
• Differentiating learning to meet the needs of all learners
• Managing behaviour in line with school policies
• Delivering practical lessons safely in accordance with procedures
• Working together with colleagues, parents and carers
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, professionalism and student welfare
