Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Chemistry Teacher for a maternity cover in Lancaster. You will deliver engaging Chemistry lessons across KS3 and KS4, assess student progress, and contribute to a supportive Science department.

The ideal candidate holds QTS or equivalent, has proven KS3/KS4 Chemistry experience, and demonstrates strong classroom management and communication skills to raise standards and support student outcomes.

  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

The Role

As a Chemistry Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop their scientific knowledge and curiosity. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while supporting students to achieve their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this position, candidates must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Have proven experience teaching Chemistry at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and classroom management skills.
  • Be committed to raising standards and achieving excellent outcomes for students.
  • Possess excellent communication and organisational skills.
