Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic A Level Chemistry Teacher for maternity cover in a thriving Science department. You will teach post-16 students across organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, while developing practical and analytical skills through laboratory-based learning.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in Chemistry and a recognised teaching qualification, with experience teaching Chemistry at A Level. A supportive and collaborative teaching environment is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related subject is required.
• Recognised teaching qualification (QTS/PGCE/Cert Ed or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Chemistry at Level 3/A Level is preferred.

Are you passionate about Chemistry and eager to inspire the next generation of scientists, medics, engineers and researchers?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable A Level Chemistry Teacher to join a thriving Science department on a maternity cover basis. You will teach motivated post-16 students across a broad and engaging curriculum covering organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, while developing their practical and analytical skills through laboratory-based learning.

Key Areas of Teaching

• Practical skills and scientific investigation
• Foundations of Chemistry
• Periodic Table and Energy
• Core Organic Chemistry
• Physical Chemistry and Transition Elements
• Organic Chemistry and Analysis, including chromatography and NMR spectroscopy

About You

• Degree in Chemistry or a related subject
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, QTS or equivalent)
• Experience teaching Chemistry at Level 3/A Level
• Passion for delivering engaging, high-quality lessons
• Strong practical laboratory and health & safety knowledge
