Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking an enthusiastic A Level Chemistry Teacher to join a thriving science department on a maternity-cover basis. You will teach post-16 students across organic, inorganic and physical chemistry, while developing their practical and analytical skills through laboratory-based learning.

The ideal candidate will have a Chemistry degree and a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or Cert Ed), with experience teaching at Level 3/A Level, and a passion for delivering

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or related subject.
• Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or Cert Ed).
• Experience teaching Chemistry at Level 3/A Level.
• Strong practical laboratory skills and health & safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Teach post-16 students across organic, inorganic and physical chemistry.
• Develop practical and analytical skills through laboratory-based learning.
• Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in a well-equipped lab.
• Support pupils’ progress and uphold safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the science department to shape the curriculum.
