Job summary

Babcock International Group invites graduates to join a two-year Science and Analytical Chemistry programme based in Plymouth (Devonport). You will rotate across labs, gain hands-on experience with sample collection and chemical analysis, and contribute to safety-critical operations for the Royal Navy.

You’ll receive structured development, mentor support, and exposure to chemical sciences, with a clear pathway to specialist roles and Chartered Chemist status through a company framework.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSc (Hons) in a science subject (Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Science preferred).
• Willing to travel to site and participate in shift work.

Responsibilities

• Rotate across laboratories at Devonport Royal Dockyard, supporting multiple disciplines.
• Collect samples, operate specialist equipment and apply wet chemical analysis to safety-related operations.
• Contribute to professional development through mentor support and structured training.
