Job summary

Babcock's Science and Analytical Chemistry Graduate Development Programme in Plymouth offers two years of cross‑discipline lab rotations at Devonport Royal Dockyard, developing skills in wet chemical analysis, sampling, and radiological safety, across multiple teams to support the Royal Navy.

You'll receive structured training, mentorship, and a personal development plan, with opportunities to progress into permanent roles in Chemistry or Reactor Chemistry, and to participate in STEM outreach

Qualifications

• Must have or be on track to achieve a BSc (Hons) degree in a science subject (Chemistry/Environmental Science preferred).
• Full training and safety support provided for radiological environments.

Responsibilities

• Work across laboratories at Devonport Royal Dockyard, collecting samples and conducting wet chemical analyses to support safe ship operations.
• Rotate across teams over two years, taking on increasing responsibility and contributing to projects.
