Chemical Process Safety Engineer

Location: Wigan

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am to 4pm

Salary: £70,000 DOE

My client, a leading manufacturer within their field, is seeking an experienced Chemical Process Safety Engineer to join their team.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 5 years relevant senior experience
2. Degree in appropriate Engineering discipline
3. Proficiency in process operations
4. Demonstrable experience in leading safety studies (HAZID/HAZOP/LOPA)
5. DSEAR risk assessment experience
6. Knowledge of COMAH, DSEAR, latest Risk Assessment Techniques, and other relevant Health and Safety legislation
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
9. Self-driven with the ability to multitask
10. Positive outlook and clear focus
11. Technical proficiency in process safety and loss prevention methods (e.g., HAZOP, PHA)
12. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
13. Knowledge of H&S and Environmental legislation
14. Understanding of Bases of Safety in chemical processes
