Job summary

Jonathan Lee Group seeks a Chemical Process Engineer to drive process development from R&D through to full-scale production at their Ellesmere Port facility. The role focuses on translating laboratory and pilot-scale work into safe, reliable manufacturing with strong collaboration across R&D, Production, Engineering and Quality teams.

You will lead scale-up activities, design and optimise processes, and implement improvements to yield, energy efficiency and cost.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or allied discipline.
• Experience scaling up from laboratory/pilot to production.
• Background in chemical/metals/materials manufacturing.
• Knowledge of process safety and MOC/HAZOP.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead scale-up of processes from pilot to full-scale production.
• Develop and optimise process designs and SOPs.
• Coordinate plant trials and analyse results.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, Engineering and Quality teams.
• Support process safety and risk assessments.
