Job summary

NMS Recruit Ltd t/a Russell Taylor Group is seeking an Industrial Chemical Engineer to move new and improved processes from development and pilot stages into full-scale Ellesmere Port production.

You will scale up processes, develop designs and procedures, and assist with commissioning and handovers while driving yield, quality and cost improvements. A chemical engineering degree and lab-to-manufacturing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience scaling up processes from lab or pilot to production.
• Knowledge of process safety reviews and risk assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with high-temperature or electrochemical processes; Chartered Engineer or Six Sigma is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Scale up processes and carry out plant trials.
• Develop process designs, flow diagrams and procedures.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 depending on experience plus Private Medical

On behalf of our client, a specialist manufacturing business, we're looking for a Chemical Engineer to take new and improved processes from development and pilot trials into full-scale production.

The Role

• Scale up processes and carry out plant trials.
• Develop process designs, flow diagrams and operating procedures.
• Support equipment commissioning and production handovers.
• Improve yield, quality, efficiency and operating costs.
• Support process safety reviews, risk assessments and operator training.

About You

• Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience scaling up processes from lab or pilot stage into manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of process safety, HAZOPs and management of change.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with high-temperature or electrochemical processes, Chartered Engineer status or Six Sigma training would be advantageous.
