Job summary

PGL Travel is seeking a Chef to join our friendly catering team. You’ll handle food prep, cooking, stock ordering and cost control, while mentoring junior staff under the Head Chef.

The role focuses on delivering nutritious meals for guests in a high-volume setting with a strong emphasis on safety and quality. Expect a supportive environment, opportunities to work across UK or French locations, and sociable hours with a few late nights.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy kitchen and high-volume catering.
• Solid knowledge of food hygiene and allergen handling.
• Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals; manage stock ordering and organisation.
• Control costs and mentor junior team members.
