PGL Travel, Ltd. is seeking a Head Chef to lead our catering team and deliver tasty, nutritious meals for adventurous programmes across the UK.

You’ll manage rotas, training needs, and ensure strict health and allergen safety standards while driving food quality and cost efficiency. You will report to the Catering Manager, ensuring team performance, executing proven menus, and maintaining a safe, welcoming kitchen environment that supports our core values of FUN, SAFETY, QUALITY, INCLUSIVITY,

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef/Head Chef in a mid-to-large scale dining environment.
• Experience and understanding of food mass production.
• Confident leader of people with strong organisational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent knowledge of food hygiene and handling complex dietary requirements including allergies and intolerances.
• City & Guilds 7061/2 (or equivalent) and Level 3+ in Food Safety and Allergen Management.

Responsabilités

• Lead and manage a team of Chefs & Catering Assistants; organise rotas and set objectives.
• Ensure procedures maintain exemplary food hygiene and manage dietary requirements.
• Oversee production planning, waste and stock management; balance quality and cost.
