Job summary

Oakland Care is seeking a skilled Chef to join our team and deliver exceptional dining experiences for residents. With at least two years of catering experience and strong communication, you will thrive in a supportive kitchen environment alongside the Head Chef.

You will follow care and support plans to meet residents' nutritional needs, prepare nutritious snacks, and ensure high‑quality, beautifully presented meals.

Qualifications

At least two years catering experience with proven ability to deliver meals in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills to work with care teams and residents.
Knowledge of relevant food regulations and standards in a residential setting.
Understanding of therapeutic and textured diets is advantageous.
Experience delivering a high‑quality catering service in a structured environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver an excellent food service at all times.
Follow care and support plans to meet residents' nutritional needs.
Prepare nutritious snacks as requested by the General Manager.
Ensure all food is high‑quality, flavoursome and well presented.
Collaborate with the Head Chef to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Manage stock control, including ordering and replenishment.
