Job summary

Oakland Care is seeking a passionate Senior Chef to join our friendly team at Lambwood Heights, Chigwell. Working with the Head Chef, you will help deliver nutritious, varied meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences.

You will supervise kitchen operations, ensure high hygiene standards, manage stock, and support daily menu planning. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, days, with some weekends, paying £18.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Chef or Chef de Partie in care or similar setting.
• Ability to plan nutritious, appetising menus with dietary considerations.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in planning and preparing meals.
• Deliver varied menus with special diets and allergies.
• Maintain hygiene, safety and infection control standards.
• Supervise kitchen staff and daily operations.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.
• Ensure meals are served on time and to a high standard.
• Keep records in line with CQC requirements.
