Job summary

Oakland Care is seeking a skilled and passionate Chef to support the Head Chef in our fast-paced, state-of-the-art kitchen, delivering nutritious and delicious meals for residents.

With at least two years’ catering experience, you will follow care and support plans, manage stock, and collaborate with the team to ensure every dish meets high standards and is beautifully presented. This permanent role offers days, 40 hours per week, a rate of £15.53 per hour, with development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ideally, a minimum of 2 years’ catering experience.
• Awareness of relevant food regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an excellent food service at all times.
• Follow care and support plans to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Prepare nutritious snacks as requested by management.
• Ensure all prepared food is high-quality and well presented.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to maintain kitchen operations.
• Manage stock control, including ordering and replenishment.
