Job summary

Olive Dining Ltd is seeking a Chef Manager for a primary school in London. The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am–2:30pm (35 hours), term time only (40 weeks), with a salary of £23,378.

You will lead a team and prepare fresh, nutritious meals for around 170 students daily, while managing allergens and stock. Ideal candidates bring hands-on kitchen experience, strong hygiene knowledge, and the ability to engage with children, staff and parents in a supportive, family-run environment that values

Qualifications

• Hands-on approach to kitchen operations.
• Understanding of food hygiene and health and safety standards.
• Experience as a sous chef or chef manager in education is preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Run the school kitchen day-to-day operations and ensure smooth service.
• Lead a team of 3 in a primary school setting and build rapport with students, staff and parents.
• Manage allergens, stock, ordering and daily kitchen tasks.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and nutrition for 170 meals per day.
