Job summary

Aspens Services in the Cheddar area is seeking an ambitious Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for a school's catering facility. This role goes beyond the kitchen, needing a leader who can deliver high-quality food and service while driving profitability.

You will manage GP, control stock, food and labour, lead and develop your kitchen team, oversee menu development and promotions, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong GP management understanding and ability to smash sales targets.
• Proven line management experience with coaching and developing a high-performing team.
• Excellent health and safety knowledge.
• Experience in school catering or contract catering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Financial control: manage stock, food and labour costs.
• Lead, coach and inspire kitchen team to deliver excellence.
• Oversee menu development and drive monthly promotions and added-value events.
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance through audits.
