Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking an ambitious Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for a school catering facility in Fleckney, Leicestershire. You will lead the kitchen team, manage GP and drive quality and service excellence.

You'll work term-time, Monday to Friday, 30 hours per week across 38 weeks per year, with a focus on fresh ingredients, innovation and compliant safety standards to deliver outstanding dining experiences in a fast-growing catering group.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Gross Profit (GP) management and ability to drive profitability.
• Experience in coaching, mentoring and leading kitchen teams to deliver high standards.
• Proven ability to oversee menu development and promote monthly promotions and value-added events.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Financial control: manage costs, stock, food and labour.
• Lead, coach, train and inspire kitchen team to deliver excellence.
• Oversee menu development and drive sales with promotions.
• Ensure standards and legislation are met through audits and proactive management.
