Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Chef Manager in Leicester to lead a busy employee dining/bistro facility. The role oversees breakfast and lunch services with occasional hospitality for a team of five, plus a focus on quality, cost control, and guest experience.

You will manage menus, train staff, monitor wastage, ensure health and safety, and develop innovative dishes while upholding BaxterStorey values and delivering consistently high service levels.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Chef Manager
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities
• Proficiency in food cost management and budgeting
• Knowledge of food safety and health and safety regulations

Responsibilities

• Menu planning and execution to match location style and customer preferences
• Recruit, train, and supervise kitchen staff and front-of-house team
• Monitor stock levels and control wastage and costs
• Interact with customers to understand catering needs and feedback
• Ensure health, safety, and food safety compliance across the kitchen
• Develop and manage kitchen budgets and financial reporting
• Stay updated on culinary trends and menu development
• Maintain accurate records of inventory and food preparation processes
