Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy Ltd is seeking a Chef Manager in Cambridge to lead a small team and deliver quality food service in a corporate staff restaurant. The role offers a Monday–Friday daytime schedule with a salary of £34,000 and opportunities for career progression.

You will oversee breakfast and lunch service for about 120 covers daily, manage stock, ordering and financial performance, and build strong client relationships to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Chef Manager or Catering Manager.
• Contract catering experience preferred.
• Strong organisational and financial management skills.
• Confident leading, motivating and developing a small team.
• Passion for delivering quality food and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of one Chef and two General Assistants.
• Overseeing breakfast and lunch service, catering for approximately 20 breakfast and 100 lunch covers daily.
• Managing food ordering, stock control and financial performance.
• Creating staff rotas and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.
• Building strong relationships with the client and maintaining high service standards.
