Job summary

Platinum Recruitment Consultancy is seeking a Chef Manager for a corporate staff restaurant in Cambridge. You will lead a small team and deliver high-quality food service in a professional environment, with breakfast and lunch service for about 120 covers daily.

The role offers sociable hours (07:30–15:00, Monday–Friday), a strong work–life balance, and opportunities for training and career progression within a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in Chef Manager or Catering Manager role.
• Contract catering experience preferred.
• Strong organisational and financial management skills.
• Ability to lead, motivate and develop a small team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day running of the staff restaurant.
• Lead a small team of one Chef and two General Assistants.
• Manage breakfast and lunch service for ~120 covers daily.
• Handle food ordering, stock control and financial performance.
• Create staff rotas and ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain high service standards and strong client relationships.
