Job summary

Berkeley-Scott is actively recruiting Chef Managers to join our agency team for exciting opportunities across schools and catering sites in and around Woking, starting in September.

This temporary agency role offers flexibility to work across multiple sites, leading kitchen operations, managing teams and delivering nutritious meals with emphasis on hygiene and safety. A full UK driving licence is helpful but not essential. DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in schools or contract catering is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS certificate (DBS check) required.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens.
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams.
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards.
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations

What we're looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
