Midas is hiring a Chef for an Education Activity Centre in Marchants Hill, Hindhead. The role involves cooking and serving meals for around 1,200 people daily, with emphasis on high standards and safe food handling. You will work in a busy kitchen across breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

The ideal candidate has experience in high-volume catering and some supervisory responsibilities. DBS check is required and benefits accompany the salary.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare, cook and serve meals for approximately 1,200 people, ensuring quality and consistency.
• Maintain strict hygiene standards, conduct temperature checks and manage allergy procedures.
• Support catering operations across breakfast, lunch and dinner with reliable shift coverage (5 days out of 7, 42 hours per week).
• Adhere to procedures and maintain cleanliness throughout shifts.

The Opportunity

A rewarding opportunity has arisen for a junior chef to work within a busy kitchen at an activity centre for young children and adults.

The Role

You will be a key member of the catering team to ensure that the catering operations runs smoothly and efficiently during breakfast, lunch and dinner times. You will prepare, cook and serve food for approx. 1200, always adhering to procedures. Maintain high standards of cleanliness, temperature checks and allergy management.

The role is working 5 days out of 7 - 42 hours per week - overtime available

Shift patterns will either be 5.30am - 1.30pm or 1.30pm 8.30pm

The ideal applicant

We are looking for an experienced Chef from a high-volume background, with some experience managing or supervising working within a busy environment.

We would welcome candidates from the MOD, contract catering, large Event and Wedding venues, large busy pub chains and hold the following qualifications

• Food Hygiene certificate
• City & Guilds 706 1 and 2 or NVQ equivalent
• Supervisory qualification preferred
