Job summary

Professional Personnel Management Ltd in Thatcham is seeking a dedicated Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking and as a Chef, ensuring that all meals are prepared, presented and served to high standards.

Key duties include food preparation, cooking, kitchen assistance and maintaining cleanliness. You will follow health and safety regulations to provide a safe environment for staff and customers. Working hours are 11.00am–7.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a chef or lead cook.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work under pressure.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays if required.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare meals and assemble menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Cooking: Perform cooking duties, ensuring proper temperature, taste and presentation.
• Kitchen Assistance: Support kitchen team with food prep and equipment sanitation.
• Cleanliness: Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in service areas.
• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations for a safe environment.
