Job summary

The Orders of St John Care Trust is seeking an experienced Chef at Madley Park House, Witney, Oxfordshire. You will manage kitchen operations for residents, design menus, and cook with seasonal ingredients.

This role offers 37 hours per week, a 7:00am–2:30pm shift, and weekend enhancements. You will lead a small team, maintain high standards of nutrition, hygiene and safety, and build relationships with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Experience running a professional kitchen for large numbers.
• Ability to design menus with fresh seasonal ingredients.
• Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements.
• Budgeting and stock control experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations and lead a small team.
• Develop and implement menus with autonomy.
• Ensure high standards of nutrition, hygiene and safety.
• Occasionally cater for other day centres and community events; some weekend work.
