Job description

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Salary: £23,500 per annum

Hours: 40 per week

An independent day and boarding preparatory school for boys aged 6–13 in Ascot, catering for approximately 300 students and teachers daily. We offer breakfast, AM snack, lunch, PM snack, supper, and match teas. The location hosts various hospitality events throughout the year.This is a term-time-only contract, operating Monday to Sunday, with a 5-day work pattern per week. The site benefits from free on-site parking.

We are seeking a talented Chef De Partie to join our team at our prestigious Ascot location.

You should have previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen at CDP or junior sous chef level. You will be excited to work with fresh, seasonal ingredients and regularly changing bespoke menus, showcasing your creativity and skillset.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively with a team of chefs to provide catering services to pupils and teachers.
  • Prepare food using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch, and adhering to the company's brand standards.
  • Maintain food standards and control wastage.
  • Follow all Food Hygiene, Health & Safety policies, and allergen control procedures.

Required skills:

  • A genuine interest in food and excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong team player with innovation and passion for quality food.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of food cost and wastage basics.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English.
  • Experience in customer service or food preparation environments is preferred.
