Job summary

TASIS England, an independent school in Egham, is recruiting a Chef de Partie as part of the Compass Group UK&I catering team. You will contribute to delivering high-quality meals for pupils and staff in a fast-paced environment.

Based at Lodestone House, 40 hours per week across 5 days, term time only (48 weeks per year). Salary £32,000 with opportunities for professional growth within the school catering program.

Qualifications

• Strong background as Chef de Partie in a professional kitchen.
• Passion for fresh, high-quality food and presentation.
• Able to manage a section in a busy catering environment.
• Good knowledge of Food Safety and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Run your section to the required standards and specifications.
• Prepare, cook and present fresh food to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure all dishes meet required quality and portion specifications.
• Follow Food Safety, HACCP, allergen and Health & Safety procedures.
• Support and training Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants within your section.
• Ensure food is stored correctly and waste is minimised.
• Assisting with food orders, deliveries and stock storage.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across the kitchen and surrounding areas.
• Using kitchen machinery and equipment safely and correctly.
• Supporting the wider catering team to deliver an efficient and high-quality food service.
• Carrying out other reasonable duties to support the catering operation.
