Job summary

Chef de Partie is sought for Sodexo Group in Fort Augustus, Scotland, on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation. Pay £15.77 per hour with 73.5 hours weekly, plus travel allowance. The role requires City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 and a mandatory Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate, with a minimum of two years’ experience.

The post supports resident wellbeing in a remote Highland village, with accommodation and meals provided during rotations, as well as gym access and other onsite facilities.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 and 706/2 (or equivalent)
• Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (REHIS or equivalent) – mandatory
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Understanding of COSHH, food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensure prompt service of all meals at required times to Company and Client standards
• Prepare and cook food to agreed standards and required quantities
• Maintain strict compliance with food safety standards, including temperature control and hygiene procedures
• Manage and rotate stock to ensure food safety, minimise waste and support cost control
• Comply fully with Health and Safety at Work legislation
• Support catering budget control and efficient use of resources
• Deputise for the Head Chef when required
• Maintain awareness and compliance with company and client policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors and clients
