Job summary

Village Hotels is seeking a Kitchen Team Leader and Chef de Partie to bridge the Head Chef’s strategy with a busy service. You will own your section, support the brigade, and ensure every plate leaves the pass to exact standards for quality, temperature and presentation.

You will coach junior kitchen team members, monitor portion control, manage stock to par levels, and uphold HACCP and EHO directives while protecting gross profit.

Qualifications

• Hands-on chef with experience running a section.
• Strong leadership and coaching of junior kitchen staff.
• Proven ability to manage stock, portions, and budgets while maintaining safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Own your section and support the wider brigade during busy services.
• Supervise and coach junior kitchen team members and porters.
• Control stock to par levels, minimise wastage, and keep stock take paperwork up to date.
